Marless House is situated on Threadneedle Road, Salthill, a quiet residential area just 100 meters from Galway Bay and Salthill’s beach and promenade, and is conveniently located to restaurants and pubs. Galway city is just 2 kms away with frequent bus service all day long. The bus stop is just round the corner. Marless is bright and spacious and spotlessly clean. For your comfort and safety, Marless is strictly a “ No Smoking home”. Free Wireless Internet Access is available throughout the house. Your hostess, Mary, welcomes guests in the elegant guests’ lounge with a complimentary cup of tea or coffee, while offering helpful advice on all local amenities and activities. Breakfast is a relaxed occasion where guests chat freely while enjoying a hearty Irish breakfast, which is cooked to order. The varied menu ranges from Self service buffet to full Irish. Please let us know in advance, if you have any special dietary needs, eg., Coeliac, Vetetarian, Dairy free etc., We will be happy to accommodate you. All bedrooms are en suite, spacious, individually decorated to a high standard and are well equipped with free Wireless Internet access, central heat, orthopaedic beds, cable TV, hairdryer and complimentary tea/coffee tray. Electric blankets take the chill from the cool evenings. There are rooms with queen sized beds, twin beds, double and single beds, and one room has a double bed and two single beds. After breakfast, you can visit Galway’s many Historical and Cultural places of interest ranging from medieval history to the modern-day arts and entertainment. Enjoy one of our art galleries, shops, cafes, our newly opened museum and narrow medieval streets and lanes. After dinner in one of our many restaurants, sample some of Galway’s entertainment, shows, theatres, Medieval banquets, cinemas, or our many pubs with Traditional Irish music. There are walking tours of Galway city exploring the history of medieval Galway, and also an open top bus touring the city and surrounding area.
For guests who prefer not to drive themselves, there are daily coach tours available to all areas. Mary will advise you on such trips and arrange free collection to and from Marless House. There are also daily boat trips to the Aran Islands from Rossaveal or fly with Aer Aran from Inverin Airport, with connecting coach services from Galway to both Inverin and Rossaveal. Enjoy a cruise on the river Corrib. This is a 90 minute cruise on the Corrib Princess taking you past the university, Glenlo Abbey Hotel, the ruins of Menlo Castle and various sites of both historical interest and natural beauty with abundant wild life. Close by are golf, tennis and horse riding, swimming (both indoor and outdoor). Within easy reach and fine salmon and trout fishing and sea angling.
